Supporting The Great Get Together

Inspired by the late Jo Cox MP, The Great Get Together aims to bring people together to celebrate the things we all have in common. The annual celebration helps bridge divides whilst showing the collective power we have as a community.

Question to the Secretary of State for Justice

I have written to the Secretary of State for Justice, Dominic Raab, to ask if he will ensure freedom of speech is strengthened in the proposed British Bill of Rights. I am pleased the Secretary of State has assured me that the British Bill of Rights will strengthen protections that support and preserve the space for democratic debate.

Rail Strike Action to Impact Bridgend

Rail strike action will take place next week on Tuesday 21st June, Thursday 23rd June, and Saturday 25th June. These strikes will disrupt rail travel across the UK. I strongly condemn the strike action taking place next week.

Passport Service Update

have been in contact with the Minister for Safe and Legal Migration, Kevin Foster MP, to discuss the UK Government’s efforts to improve passport services. I will continue to liaise with Her Majesty’s Passport Office to provide daily updates to those in the constituency who are having trouble with their applications.

Education In Wales Must be Properly Funded

You only get one chance to have a decent education and the Welsh Labour Government is squandering the life chances of our children. Each year, £1,000 less is spent on the education of a child in Wales than that of a child in other parts of the UK.
I have written my thoughts on why the Welsh Government must properly fund Welsh education, ensuring the children of Wales receive the same standard of education as the rest of the United Kingdom.
