I welcome the news that the UK Government have struck a £26 million deal with the Welsh Government to establish a freeport in Wales.
The freeport will create high-quality jobs, attract new businesses, and help regenerate communities.
In Parliament, I continue to argue that Bridgend would be a suitable destination for Wales’s first freeport.
The UK Government’s ambitious freeports plan will help level up South Wales and create new opportunities for people right across the country.
