Last week, I met with Openreach to discuss plans to improve broadband in Bridgend.
It was fantastic to hear Openreach are investing £30 million to improve broadband in our area, impacting more than 87,000 homes and businesses.
I was also pleased to hear that the upgrade will be complete in Bridgend by the end of this year!
I have held numerous meetings with Openreach and broadband providers such as Fibrenest to call for better broadband in Bridgend. I welcome this announcement as a brilliant start to bringing Ultrafast Full Fibre to the whole of Bridgend.
Good connectivity is vital for homes, businesses, and schools across the constituency. This investment plays a key part in connecting Bridgend and levelling up the area.
