I have co-signed a bill that seeks to outline the roadmap for the extension of pension auto-enrolment to low earners and those aged 18 and over.
The bill aims to remove the lower qualifying earnings threshold for pension auto-enrolment.
With these changes outlined in the bill, an estimated £2.77 trillion could be invested in pensions.
I’m proud to support this bill as it will ensure that people have the certainty that their pension will be there for them, providing for them.
The second reading for this bill is set for the 25th of February and I look forward to offering my support in Parliament.
