I have written to Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board to express my concerns regarding the high number of people waiting for arthritis-related surgery in our area.
Additionally, I have requested that Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board provide an update on the development of elective orthopaedic centres in Bridgend County Borough.
A total of 13,717 people are currently waiting for surgery within our health board area. 2,204 people have been waiting for over two years to have their surgery.
The Welsh Government and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board must do more to tackle the growing waiting lists for surgery.
