I have submitted my response to the Bridgend County Council’s consultation regarding the proposed appropriation of land at Griffin Park and Sandy Bay. Several constituents have contacted me to raise their concerns about this proposal.
Many residents are worried that the increase in housing will cause a strain on services and the loss of recreational land such as the Griffin Park tennis courts.
Bridgend County Borough Council must invest to ensure that vital services such as doctor’s surgeries, schools and sports facilities are readily available for local residents to match the increased demand.
I will continue to raise the concerns of residents in Porthcawl regarding plans to appropriate land at Griffin Park and Sandy Bay.
