I have written to BCBC regarding the caravans currently located on Rest Bay playing fields. The continued illegal parking of caravans and vehicles is now obstructing the use of community facilities in Porthcawl.
My Work in Bridgend & Porthcawl
I have written to Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board to express my concerns regarding the high number of people waiting for arthritis-related surgery in our area. Additionally, I have requested that Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board provide an update on the development of elective orthopaedic centres in Bridgend County Borough.
I recently met with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to discuss Bridgend’s Levelling Up bid. In the constituency, I have endorsed the Porthcawl Grand Pavilion Redevelopment bid. This is an exciting project, adding a range of new facilities, including workshop and café spaces.
I am deeply concerned with the news that Easyway will cease trading after 31 July. The loss of these services will massively impact those in our community and beyond. These routes provide access to vital services such as the Princess of Wales Hospital and the Town Centre.
I have submitted my response to the Bridgend County Council’s consultation regarding the proposed appropriation of land at Griffin Park and Sandy Bay. Several constituents have contacted me to raise their concerns about this proposal.
have been in contact with the Minister for Safe and Legal Migration, Kevin Foster MP, to discuss the UK Government’s efforts to improve passport services. I will continue to liaise with Her Majesty’s Passport Office to provide daily updates to those in the constituency who are having trouble with their applications.
Today is Pension Credit Day of Action. This campaign aims to help with the challenges some pensioners face with the cost of living. I have recently written to residents in Bridgend and Porthcawl to raise awareness locally and remind constituents to check if they are eligible for this UK Government support.
I was honoured to present this fantastic painting to The Princess of Wales Hospital on behalf of the Bridgend Disabled Veterans Random Act of Kindness Association. This painting expresses our gratitude as a community for the incredible work of our NHS heroes, many of whom made extraordinary sacrifices to ensure they could continue to provide patients with the best care possible throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
