Painting Unveiled to Show our Gratitude to our NHS Heroes

I was honoured to present this fantastic painting to The Princess of Wales Hospital on behalf of the Bridgend Disabled Veterans Random Act of Kindness Association.

This painting expresses our gratitude as a community for the incredible work of our NHS heroes, many of whom made extraordinary sacrifices to ensure they could continue to provide patients with the best care possible throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the founder of modern nursing, it is fitting Florence Nightingale is shown here with our own local Emergency Department nurse Sophie Cooke.

I would like to thank Mr Weaver of the Bridgend Disabled Veterans Random Acts of Kindness Association for funding this painting, and the artist, Michael Dwyer, for his excellent work. I would also like to thank The Princess of Wales Hospital and its staff, who continue to deliver an incredible service to our community.
