Wales Must Have a Cancer Strategy

The Welsh Labour Government have been criticised by Cancer Research for not having a proper national cancer strategy.

This is just the latest devastating indictment of the way health services are run in Wales.

The unintended consequences of the almost year long lockdown when many services were suspended continue to mount. It is estimated that there are 40,000 missing cancer patients from figures in Wales. Now, another statistic has been announced- that 60,000 breast cancer screenings have been missed because services were on stop.

In my column for the Glamorgan Gazette, I urged the Welsh Government to set up a proper strategy to deal with cancer cases. Action is needed now to save lives in Wales!
