Local MP, Jamie Wallis, has today welcomed the news from the UK Government that more support is on its way for small businesses in Bridgend and Porthcawl.
Jamie has been calling for more support to be provided to these businesses and to see the UK Government listening to these concerns will be welcome news for business owners across the constituency.
Commenting on the announcement, Jamie said: “Further details will emerge soon but I wanted to let you all know as soon as possible.
“The UK Government has just announced that small businesses will be eligible for new loans worth between £2,000 and £50,000, which are backed by a 100% government guarantee.
“This scheme will open from 9:00am on Monday next week.
“I have been assured that there will be no complex eligibility criteria, just a standard form for people to fill in and that loans should arrive within 24 hours of approval.”
