From today, Monday 14th September, face coverings are mandatory in indoor public places, like shops.
Under 11s and people with health conditions don’t have to wear one.
Also, only a maximum of six people from the extended household will be able to meet indoors at any one time. This rule applies in pubs and restaurants as well as in people’s homes. Children under 11 will not be counted in the six.
We must make sure we stick to the guidance on hand-washing and social distancing to make sure that we can control this rise in cases and protect our friends and loved ones.
