The European Broadcasting Union have confirmed that the UK will host Eurovision 2023.
It is an honour to host Eurovision on behalf of Ukraine. The UK has led the global effort in supporting Ukraine’s defence of their country, including £220 million in humanitarian aid and the success of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
I am pleased to hear that the BBC is committed to making the event a true reflection of Ukrainian culture alongside showcasing the diversity of British music and creativity.
The process has begun to find a host city in the UK. It would be fantastic to see Wales host the event as the land of song. We would ensure that the competition reflects and celebrates the people of Ukraine.
