I welcome the UK Government’s ambitious new plans to move 500,000 people into jobs by the end of June.
The ‘Way to Work’ campaign will focus on getting job-ready people back into work.
To support people into work faster, those seeking work will be expected to search more widely for available jobs outside their preferred sector. They will be supported with more time face to face with a Work Coach to receive better, tailored support.
Job vacancies are at a record high with 1.2 million vacancies to fill. I am pleased to see plans in place to fill these positions and to support people back into work faster than ever before!
As we move out of the pandemic, these ambitious plans will turbo-charge our national recovery from COVID-19.
