The new Free Trade Agreement will be hugely beneficial to Wales, with exports to Canada from Wales worth £220 million.This deal will cut red tape and simplify processes for over 300 Welsh businesses.
Today in the Spring Statement, the Chancellor set out his plans to ease the cost of living for working families across Wales with the largest tax cuts in a quarter of a century.
I strongly support these tax cuts as it means more money remains in the pockets of the Welsh people and delivers the biggest net cut to personal taxes in over 25 years.
I met with the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak to convey concerns regarding the rising cost of living and to hear what steps the UK Government is taking to help tackle this crisis.
I have held numerous meetings with Openreach and broadband providers such as Fibrenest to call for better broadband in Bridgend. I welcome this announcement as a brilliant start to bringing Ultrafast Full Fibre to the whole of Bridgend.
Having recently raised the issue of needing to support Gurkha veterans who meet the criteria to resettle in the UK in Parliament, I am pleased to see the UK Government offering the support to our veterans who meet the criteria.
