Last week, I was found guilty of three traffic offences relating to a collision that happened on the 28th November last year. I was cleared of the charge of careless driving. Whilst I am grateful no one was injured and no other cars were involved, I am deeply sorry for how the events unfolded and wish to express my absolute and unreserved apology to my constituents in Bridgend & Porthcawl.

Statement on the Prime Minister’s Resignation

Today, the Prime Minister resigned his position. Whatever my thoughts on the events of recent weeks, the Prime Minister has worked to deliver Brexit, the fastest vaccine rollout in Europe and unfaltering support to Ukraine in light of the Russian invasion.

Supporting The Great Get Together

Inspired by the late Jo Cox MP, The Great Get Together aims to bring people together to celebrate the things we all have in common. The annual celebration helps bridge divides whilst showing the collective power we have as a community.

Question to the Secretary of State for Justice

I have written to the Secretary of State for Justice, Dominic Raab, to ask if he will ensure freedom of speech is strengthened in the proposed British Bill of Rights. I am pleased the Secretary of State has assured me that the British Bill of Rights will strengthen protections that support and preserve the space for democratic debate.
