Local MP, Jamie Wallis, has met with St Mungos in parliament to discuss ideas on how to tackle homelessness in Bridgend.
The event was held in London, bringing together ideas of best-practice from across the country which Jamie has said will be useful in bringing these ideas back to Bridgend.
Speaking after the event, Bridgend’s MP said: “It was great to meet with St Mungos this week to find out about the important work they do in helping to tackle homelessness, and what lessons we can learn here in Bridgend to deal with this important issue.
“I am keen to do all I can to ensure that both Bridgend Council and the Welsh Government are exploring every avenue to help tackle homelessness within the constituency.
“It was really useful to exchange ideas on what works in certain areas and what does not. I will continue to highlight this issue at every opportunity I get.”
