Following my question to the Home Office last week, I was pleased to meet with Home Secretary Priti Patel to discuss plans to bolster our national cyber-defence.
The Home Secretary has reassured me that a review is currently taking place regarding reforms to the Computer Misuse Act 1990. I believe reforming the Computer Misuse Act 1990 is essential to strengthening our national cyber – defence.
She has also assured me that the Home Office will work alongside myself and colleagues to devise a strategy to further bolster our cyber-defences.
With the impending threat of cyber warfare with Russia, the UK must ready itself for cyber-attacks.
