Down Syndrome Bill Passes Through Parliament

I am pleased that the Down Syndrome Bill has now officially passed through both Houses of Parliament, meaning it will receive Royal Assent and become an Act.

I am proud to have supported this Bill through the House of Commons, which will improve services and life outcomes for those with Down Syndrome. Authorities will now have to take account of Government guidance when providing health, social care, education and housing services.

This Bill will ensure that every person living with Down Syndrome has the best possible opportunities and support.
