Local MP, Jamie Wallis, has welcomed the announcement that the freeze on Fuel Duty will be kept in place, for a 10th consecutive year, after a campaign with colleagues.
Commenting after the budget, Dr. Wallis, MP for Bridgend said: “I am pleased that the government has listened to our concerns regarding fuel duty.
“Many local people across Bridgend & Porthcawl rely on their cars to get around to work, the shops and for leisure and I’m campaigning to make sure that the fuel we all rely upon is as reasonably priced are possible.
“We can all welcome this budget to level-up our country and make sure that areas like Bridgend are not left behind.
“Todayโs budget was one that delivers for working people across Bridgend & Porthcawl and the country. Freezing fuel duty, tax breaks for families and much more.”
