During this week’s Welsh Affairs Committee, I raised issue with the impact the desire for a second EU referendum had on intergovernmental relations.
It is evident that the remain- supporting Welsh Government did not wish to represent the views of the Welsh people. Their actions weakened intergovernmental work between the Welsh Government and the UK Government and made relations between the two very difficult as we attempted to leave the European Union in 2019.
The need for strong intergovernmental cooperation across the United Kingdom is crucial to represent the views, values and opinions of everyone from every corner of the United Kingdom.
