I am pleased to see the UK Government’s announcement to crackdown on drug gangs across England and Wales.
The UK Government have set out a £300 million investment to crack down on supply chains and criminal gangs profiting from the trade in illegal drugs.
This funding will go towards action to:
- Dismantle over 2,000 county lines- which are used to supply drugs.
- Carry out 6,400 disruptions against the activities of organised criminals.
- Invest up to £145 million in the County Lines Programme, continuing to bring criminals to justice.
We are cracking down on dangerous drug gangs – protecting our young people and keeping our streets safe.
