Question to the Secretary of State for Justice

My Work in Parliament

I have written to the Secretary of State for Justice, Dominic Raab, to ask if he will ensure freedom of speech is strengthened in the proposed British Bill of Rights. I am pleased the Secretary of State has assured me that the British Bill of Rights will strengthen protections that support and preserve the space for democratic debate.

I am deeply concerned that foreign-born criminals are using human rights legislation to avoid deportation. Introducing a British Bill of Rights will ensure that criminals face justice for their crimes. I raised this issue in the House to Justice Secretary Dominic Raab.
