It was great to visit Parkdean Resort Trecco Bay and its brand-new hospitality development. The holiday park has invested £3.6 million into the development, which includes new restaurants, a covered canopy area for pop up food stands, and a next-level gaming arena.

In my Seaside News column this month, I have raised the benefits of major golf tournaments would bring to our local economy. The investment in our local businesses and hospitality sector is fantastic for Bridgend and Porthcawl. We must continue to explore what opportunities exist to attract major events to our area.
It was great to visit Spectrum Technologies in Bridgend. As a global company, it was interesting to discuss Spectrum Technology’s growth in Bridgend and what future opportunities will arise for them thanks to Brexit.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg Community Health Council are currently running a consultation on their adult mental health services in Bridgend. The consultation will ensure that local feedback is reported back to NHS providers. This will help assist mental health services in Bridgend to take action to improve their services.
This week has been a monumental week for me personally. Thank you for all the kind messages I have received. I am proud to be completely open and honest about the struggles I have had, and continue to have, with my identity. My priority remains serving my constituents.
This week, I met with the Secretary of State for Justice, Dominic Raab, to discuss the UK Government’s progress towards implementing a British Bill of Rights. I stressed the importance that a British Bill of Rights should seek to strengthen protections for free speech.
I am pleased that the Down Syndrome Bill has now officially passed through both Houses of Parliament, meaning it will receive Royal Assent and become an Act.
