I strongly welcome the newly released independent ONS crime stats which show that the UK Government’s approach to cutting crime is working.
The Beating Crime Plan is combining prevention, deterrent and enforcement to ensure that everyone has the security and confidence in safe streets and a safe home.

Signing the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment

Earlier this week, I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment. Today, on the 27th of January, people across the globe will reflect on the darkest times of European history. As the Holocaust moves from living history to history, it is as important that we take the time to remember the six million Jewish victims and pay tribute to the survivors.

Question to the Prime Minister

I asked the Prime Minister if he agrees with me that the Great British public does not need to look back at the last UK Labour Government to see that Labour’s answer is to demand that the taxpayer bails them out of their own incompetence.

Question to the Chancellor Regarding the Welsh Tourism tax

The recently announced coalition deal between Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru in the Welsh Parliament contains a tourism tax. This tax will have cause significant damage to Porthcawl and is evidence that Labour- nationalist coalitions are bad for business, bad for the economy and bad for the United Kingdom. I raised this issue in the House to the Chancellor.
