My Letter to CTM Health Board Regarding Arthritis Surgery Waiting Times

I have written to Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board to express my concerns regarding the high number of people waiting for arthritis-related surgery in our area. Additionally, I have requested that Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board provide an update on the development of elective orthopaedic centres in Bridgend County Borough.

Health service waiting lists are considerably higher in Labour-controlled Wales than in England, with one in five in Wales on a waiting list. I raised this issue in the House with Health Minister Edward Argar. I was pleased that the Health Minister agrees with my concerns and believes that the Welsh Government must present a plan to bring down the excessive waiting lists in Wales.

The Bridgend constituency contains only some of Bridgend Borough with the rest forming part of the Ogmore constituency. Towns within the Bridgend Westminster Constituency:
