I am campaigning for the restoration of bus services in parts of Bridgend and Penyfai, following the decision of Easyway bus company to cease trading. I am asking Bridgend County Borough Council to restore services in Oaklands, Broadlands, and Penyfai. Additionally, I am asking for a service that travels past Glanrhyd Hospital to be reinstated.
The UK Government have announced the Energy Bill Relief Scheme to help businesses with their energy costs this winter. Starting from 1st October, energy prices for businesses, charities and public sector organisations will be cut for six months. This support will be equivalent to the Energy Price Guarantee put in place for households.
I have welcomed the news that substance misuse services will be relocated away from the town centre. I have liaised since then with the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Probation Service to get Dyfodol moved to more suitable premises. I am delighted that it has now been agreed that it will be relocated to Celtic Court on Tremains Road.
